Living and working in Western Australia

Campervan and Tents at Perenjori Caravan park

This year an assortment of Mayfield Lab members (including myself) made rotations through Western Australia. We worked, cooked and slept in a rented campervan - it was quite an experience! There was barely room to squeeze in for dinner and with 4 Mayfield Lab residents, we had to break out 2 tents for adequate sleep space.

Chefs and dishwashers rotated daily so no one person had to take the brunt of the chores. We mostly had breakfast and dinner in the campervan and lunch outside in the reserve (at least until it got warm enough that the flies were a nuisance)

It was great to spend time with everyone! However the 2106 season has come to a close - look out 2017!

One of our more gourmet meals, peanut butter and banana pancakes for breakfast. Delicious!
